Drifting has no doubt one major factor that is more important to every driver than any other – Tyres.
With the rate of attrition on tyres is being raised year on year due to drivers creating cars with more power. The development of suspension components and the ability to create the perfect contact patch, the tyres need to be able to cope with the job in hand.
We can release that Drift Elite Drift Team have announced a partnership with Evergreen Tyres for the British Drift Championship in 2015.
Driver Jo Ankers said ‘It’s great to have Evergreen Tyres working with us, we will be using their EU72 Tyres providing us with consistent, high levels of grip. Coupled with the VG30DETT powered Nissan S14 Race Day developments have prepared for me, I am confident the Drift Elite team are going to a serious contender for titles in 2015.’
Matt will debut his unique Mazda RX8 at Knockhill Race Circuit in round two of the championship on the 13th and 14th June. The car is powered by a Chevrolet LS V8 with a turbo added for that little bit of extra power!
